VARCHART XGantt 4.1 Anticipated by the End of April 2007

What's new in version 4.1 of VARCHART XGantt? A brief outlook:

The interactivity of the table has been enhanced. The content of a data field will control the selection of a picture from a list. Clicking on the picture will display the subsequent element from the list, and the value on which it is based will also change.

The API was amplified by the object "Scheduler". You can now access time scheduling at run time by properties of the API which before could only be set on the property pages at design time. In addition, the results of time scheduling, i.e. the start and end of a project are available as new properties.

The new data type of floating numbers simplifies the handling of data from applications. Fractions of resource occupation can now be visualized precisely. Besides, the data tables and qualifier fields can also be set up at run time, which allows for dynamic data structures.

Charts show an improved graphical quality when transparent colors in tables, layers and calendar grids are used. Another new feature is the layer height that can now be controlled by mapping. Also, individual columns can be selected when printing.

In Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005 there will be an integrated online help for the .NET and the ASP.NET editions. There will also be a help support for run time dialogs such as for printing and for page preview. More details in the newsletter in May.
